What I Read: Children's Books

For my Book Reviews this month I thought I would share a few of my kids' favorite picture books.

First up is Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems. This book always gets my kids giggling. We own the first book, and this last summer we discovered the next two books at our library and we loved those too. Mo Willems has a lot of other books we like to read like the Elephant and Piggie books and the Pigeon books. Check him out for some fun books that get children giggling.

I am sharing this next book because it is my youngest little boy's favorite book right now. I have read I'm the Biggest Thing in the Ocean by Kevin Sherry many times in the last couple of weeks. My older kids love it too. One thing that is fun about these kind of books is it is simple enough, little kids that can't read yet can go back and still 'read' it to themselves. I love to hear my 3-year-old 'reading' it after we've read it together a few times.

And speaking of favorites, What Was I Scared of? by Dr. Seuss was one my oldest boy's very, favorite picture books when he was younger. He would ask me to read it so many times that I ended up memorizing it. I have recited this one to my kids while we're on trips or out and about just for fun, because I still have it memorized. It is a fun book to read and recite, with a few actions thrown in. :) It also has a good message that goes along with it, like a lot of Dr. Seuss' books.

Those are some of my children's book reviews. What about you? What are your kids' favorite picture books?
