September 11th today...every year this day rolls around I think about where I was that day and what it felt like. I talk about it with my kids and marvel at the fact that post-9/11 is normal for them. It's definitely one of those days where we take time to reflect and feel thankful for the freedoms we enjoy here in the United States.
Here are a few things I'm liking to send you into your weekend:
This 'Weekend Like' might be a little random...but about a month ago my husband and I were talking about Feature Films for Families and all their movies we remembered watching as kids. Have any of you heard of them? They were a company focused on making family friendly movies that were entertaining and taught values. You could buy the movies straight from the company and have them sent to your house. We wondered if they were still around, and guess what? They are! My husband did some searching and found their website...you can order a lot of their movies and also their music. We want to order a few to watch with our kids...some of our favorites growing up were Buttercream Gang, On Our Own, and Rigoletto.
Speaking of watching shows from my childhood, another television show I loved watching growing up was Little House on the Prairie. I recently started watching it again, beginning with season one, through Netflix. Is there anyone else out there that loves that show as much as I do? :)
Weekends are always a time we do some chores and get the house cleaned as a family. One of my favorite cleaning products is this multipurpose cleaner. I use it all over the house and also to clean the inside of my car. It works great and smells good too.
And finally, a favorite picture from this last week is this one of my kids waiting for me at the end of my 5K race on Monday...don't they look super excited to be up so early cheering on their mom? :) Don't worry, they all cheered their hearts out when they saw me coming and I never felt so loved.
This weekend we are doing an activity that was on our summer bucket list. It's a good one, the kids are especially excited. Happy Weekend!

I remember those movies. Especially since my second cousin was in a few of them. I thought it was so neat to be related to a "celebrity." Ha ha.
I love it Stephanie! If I had known someone in those movies growing up I would have definitely considered them a celebrity. :)
